Kawiria: Friday Feels – 10

Because we still Thank God It's Friday.

I’m thinking

I was watching this movie that was recommended by my friend, I feel Pretty. I’d mentioned that I’ll watch it last weekend, which I did. So, there’s a part where she was with a guy she had met and they were trying to get it going, and so during the hit of the moment, she wanted the lights on and the guy kept on switching them off. That was a bit of an awkward moment, because it happened a couple of times. Then she goes like, “I want the lights on, because I want you to see me.” Many times, we are with people who don’t see us or who don’t want us to see them. Someone wants to enjoy, but still not get too attached or too familiar. But I think intimacy is when you really see someone. And not just their face or body, but for who they really are. Letting each other in. And the light might not do much, because it might still be on and you don’t really see someone. I thought that was such a profound moment describing the depth of most relationships.

I’m feeling

I’m excited about

My stay at the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club. It’s such a beautiful, serene and pristine place! I’ll tell you some more about it.

I’m looking forward to

To being at home. I know. I had the best stay at the hotel and now I’m okay with just going back home and eating normal home food, because I’ve over stuffed myself. If I stay here any longer I might not fit into my jeans.

I’m listening to

Shekhinah – Different ft. Mariechan

I’m watching

A Netflix series called ‘Good Girls’ that I stumbled up on.

I’m reading

A lot of online articles and catching up with blogs, because I need some inspiration.

I’m craving

Thee Prawns still.

I’m praying for

Anyone that’s about to give up to keep pushing on. It’s might feel like it’s the end of the road, but it’s not the end of the road. There’s so much for you to discover and so many dreams for you to realise if you just keep pushing on.

Quote I’m living by today

Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all. – Dale Carnegie

It’s always about progress, not perfection. So even when things don’t go the way you expected them to go, you keep trying. Somehow, something will always come through. At least one of the many things you are trying to work on or to do. The universe works in a very interesting way and I believe that it always gives back!

Happy Friday!
