Can you believe it’s March already?! Where does the time go? Seriously! It feels like just a few weeks ago people were talking to me about their New Year’s Resolutions, which ranged from working less, sleeping more, drinking less, spending more time with family, to the biggest of ALL, yup! You guessed it right — getting fit and losing weight! As good as a resolution that may be, I hate hearing this, because I believe being and getting fit is a “lifestyle” and not a goal one sets every year.
Having said that, I know it’s extremely hard to eat well and exercise consistently. It’s hard, but not impossible. Where there is a will, there is a way. If you want to take charge of your fitness and transform your body, start TODAY! Because, why not? It’s never too late to start, unless of course you make excuses.
I know the struggle of making fitness a lifestyle and that’s where I come in. I created an app called Get FITT with Aicha, where I have shared a variety of workouts that cut across strength training and HITT (High Intensity Interval Training). To get you started, there’s an exciting 30 DAY CHALLENGE, which will help you to build that momentum. It’s best when you grab a friend and do it together and you can be each other’s accountability partners.
It’s said that it takes about 21 days to develop a habit, so if you religiously do the 30 Day challenge, I kid you not, you will start seeing amazing results. It worked for me, and I know it will work for you if you keep at it. We invest in so many things, but we forget to invest in what matters the most, which is our bodies and consequently, our health.
